About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to join a major transformation programme on an initial 6-month contract.

You’ll take ownership of end-to-end delivery across a complex environment, establishing the planning, governance and controls needed to keep initiatives moving effectively.

We’re particularly interested in Delivery Managers with experience within retail environments, with previous involvement in separation or demerger programmes highly desirable.

What you will do

  • Mobilise initiatives and establish clear delivery plans, governance and ways of working
  • Develop integrated plans covering milestones, critical paths and dependencies
  • Establish and maintain RAID logs, stakeholder maps, RACI matrices and governance forums
  • Manage day-to-day delivery, providing clear status and RAG reporting
  • Identify, manage and escalate risks, issues and cross-team dependencies
  • Coordinate delivery across Product, Engineering and Business teams
  • Manage stakeholder engagement and facilitate effective decision-making
  • Coordinate third-party suppliers and integrate their activity into wider delivery plans
  • Facilitate workshops and proactively unblock delivery challenges
  • Support change readiness, deployment, cutover and transition activities
  • Lead post-implementation reviews and ensure lessons learned are captured

What we are looking for

  • Strong experience delivering complex technology and business change programmes
  • Previous experience working within the retail sector
  • Separation, demerger or similar complex transformation experience is highly desirable
  • Strong planning, governance, RAID and dependency management experience
  • Confident managing multiple senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Experience coordinating third-party suppliers
  • A transparent, collaborative and pragmatic approach to delivery
  • Clear communicator who can challenge constructively and remain calm under pressure
  • Proactive, accountable and focused on delivering outcomes

The package

Rate: up to £400 per day.

IR35: outside IR35.

Duration: initial 6 months.

Location: Central London, hybrid, with an infrequent onsite requirement.
